Because of the large size of The Melon Inc., there are often positions available in most areas of interest. We are looking to hire about 1500 people in 2007, and will be looking to expand rapidly, after the March 2008 launch of our newest technology. We have HR personnel working 24 hours a day reviewing the many applicants we receive. Due to the volume of resumes we get on a regular basis, it may take up to 5 business days to respond to your submission. If you are selected for an interview, you will be informed by e-mail. All initial interviews are conducted over the phone. Secondary interviews are typically done in person. Efforts will be made to meet you in person, should you be in a location outside of one of our global satellite offices. Often people are flown to Calgary, for the purposes of the second interview. The Melon Inc. is a large organization, and it also has people across the globe. As we do not want to loose a sense of community with each person we hire, upon selection by our hiring staff, you will be assigned to a smaller business group. These business groups are located throughout the world. When there are small numbers of people in your region, efforts will be made to unite you with a temporary group, until a business group is formed in your area. The Melon Inc. is not as concerned with where you produce your work, as much as it is the overall contribution you make to the business unit you are grouped with. Good luck with your career!
