The c-med° alpha is a class IIa medical measuring device that generates continuous data streams of three important vital signs:
- Core Body Temperature
- Heart Rate
- Blood Oxygen Saturation (SpO2)

Two-in-one device
The c-med° alpha is a wearable sensor fusion of two frequently used medical measuring devices: Thermometer + Pulse oximeter.
Data you can trust
Quality rated
Focusing on the generation of reliable data streams, unique algorithms detect and flag invalid sequences in vital signs data. Thus you can see at any time whether a measurement is to be trusted or not. Heart rate and SpO2 are accompanied by their own quality ratings, the Quality and Perfusion, turning mobile vital signs into data for decision making.
Raw data is acquired in the outer ear canal and is then processed on the device itself. The calculated vital signs data is transmitted via Bluetooth 5.0.
Keeping health in view
With the c-med° alpha, the measured vital parameters can be monitored continuously and non-invasively in the external auditory canal at any time – whether in a healthy state or when ill**. In this way, one’s own state of health or that of another person can be better classified and evaluated.
Compatibility
The c-med° alpha is intended to be used with the c-med° App. A connection via other applications or systems is only intended if the respective second system adheres to the cosinuss° API specifications. For more information or if you want to integrate the c-med° alpha in your own system, contact us.
Integration with other IT ecosystems
Regardless of time and place – the captured vital signs can be seamlessly integrated into any IT ecosystem, enabling real-time data access, processing and action.
The Bluetooth standard services provide easy and secure integration of the data stream including the three calculated vital signs and the required device information. Thus, the c-med° alpha offers wireless data transmission of vital signs according to medical standards. An additional customized Bluetooth service enables advanced features such as high-resolution data streaming and individual device configuration during operation.

** Based on the measurement of vital signs, monitoring of various physical reactions is enabled and simplified: hypothermia, hyperthermia (fever), changes in the circulatory system, tachycardia and bradycardia. Contraindications: Any form of disease of the ear, in case of carbon monoxide poisoning.
